The two new packages, ‘Enhanced Upstream’ and ‘SDSL (M)’ will put Nildram’s offer in direct competition with BT’s SDSL and leased line packages targeted at the same customer segment.
Enhanced Upstream is offered at upload speed of 16 Mb and download speed of 2.5 Mb, whereas the SDSL (M) package boasts of a common upload and download speed, and the customer can choose between 512Kb, 1Mb, 1.5Mb and 2 Mb as the speed. The Enhanced Upstream package seems to be ideally suited for companies needing a high upstream speed, such as those in the media or design industries. To make the SDSL (M) deal even more attractive, Nildram is offering a new service called ‘Enhanced Care’. This service will ensure that any issues with the connection are resolved within 10 hours; a failure to do this will result in the company paying the customer back 1 month’s broadband connection fees.
The Enhanced Upstream service starts at £19.50 a month, and by choosing a premium package, customers can get a 500 Kbps download speed guarantee. The SDSL (M) package starts at £59 a month for the 512 Kbps package and go up progressively as the package speed goes up. These prices do not include applicable VAT.
