How To Create What You Want…And Want What You Create
Something For You To Consider…
How To Create What You Want …And Want What You Create
Hello!
Imagine your life starting out this way….
…You grew up in an emotionally and physically abusive family environment, with chaos and pain all around you. After many years of that, your mother leaves her husband and is at times working three part time jobs or is on welfare. In the midst of all that you discover that the man you thought was your dad isn’t your biological father. So you go looking for your biological father and find out that he is a well-to-do professional baseball player. You finally make contact with him, only to find out that he does not want to have anything to do with you for many years. Years later, when it comes time to go to college, he reluctantly agrees to pay your tuition only, and has legal documents drawn up to that effect. Soon afterward, you and your dad connect, grow close… and then he dies of cancer long before you are ready to let go of him.
Okay, what would you have done if you had that kind of start in life? For many, it would have been enough to make excuses for their failure to create the life they really wanted. And they would have plenty of others to join in with them, offering them their “understanding” and “sympathy.” …Well-intentioned perhaps, thinking they are being empathetic and kind. In reality, they might as well be the judge and jury that locks someone up in prison and throws away the key.
Now, whether you are a country music fan or not, chances are that you are familiar with superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Both have carved out lives for themselves, and with each other, that goes far beyond what most would believe to be possible for themselves. Tim McGraw, for those of you who are not country music fans, is the Tom Cruise of his industry, having recently recorded the biggest hit of his career, “Live Like You Were Dying.” He is also an actor, convincingly playing an abusive, often drunk father in the recent movie Friday Night Lights. At 37, according to one writer, “McGraw has the trim, hard body of a man a decade younger, and he is married to the stunning Faith Hill.” Together, they have three beautiful young daughters.
Consider all that and then let me inform you that the life I asked you to imagine earlier is the life Tim McGraw lived for the first couple of decades of his life. Yes, you heard that right. Tim’s current life is dramatically different from what he started out with.
And with the life that he has created for himself, what does he seem to value most? The answer? Finding and building a close relationship with his biological father before he died of cancer, and creating the family life that he had always longed for. Tim said in an interview, “When you get married and have a family, you get very focused on what that means and how easily it can get away from you…your career can come and go at any time, and you can survive losing that. But I could not stand losing my family.”
Considering how the first twenty or so years of his life went, you might be wondering how Tim got to where he is today.
Let’s think about that, and think about how you can actually create what you want and truly want what you create. Because life is such a precious gift, and because it is short, it is important for us to be able to create what we want… and to want what we create. As long as you are alive, you will be creating a life for yourself. The question is, will it be a life that you want…truly want? And you might as well build the life of your dreams, because you are fully capable of doing so. Period.
Why Create The Life You Want? Because You Can!
Now, what does this involve? Many things, to be sure, and a few things that are paramount, all of which can be learned. Let’s consider…
A Foundation For Creating The Life You Want…
First, understand that the past does not equal the future. Period. Tim McGraw understood that early on. He understood that his future life could be engineered to whatever specifications he desired, regardless of his past. You can believe whatever you want in regards to creating the life you want. It is up to you.
Next, pay attention to the “state” (emotional, mental, physical, spiritual) you will be in as you go about planning your future. Make sure that you begin with a mindset, an overall attitude that you can and will learn to create a life that you will truly enjoy and profit from, on all levels. A life filled with learning, meaning, and fulfillment. A life shared with loved ones and friends and lived with excitement for the next moment, all the while loving the present moment.
Then, perhaps next, choose what outcomes are important to you, across all contexts of your life. Consider your health, your relationships, your hobbies, your work life, your family, etc. What do you really want for yourself? Allow yourself to be a child again and imagine Santa telling you, with a broad smile, that you can have whatever you want. Your job is to dream, and to dream big! Now, dream bigger than that! Why? Because you can! A child doesn’t know what is “reasonable” or “possible!” She just knows what she wants! Now, as you choose your outcomes, you will want to ensure that they are what we call “well-formed outcomes.” A well-formed outcome, for instance will be arrived at, in part, when you consider the short term and long term consequences of your choices. Consider how your choices will affect you and those you care about, across all contexts of your life.
It’s Your Life…You Get To Choose
Now, there is another important element to creating what you want and wanting what you create. It’s called “congruency.” Congruency is all about having your beliefs, values, desires, behaviors and states (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual) aligned, so that they are all flowing and going in the same direction. A direction that you have carefully chosen for yourself vs. a direction that has been set by others. And make no mistake about it, you will either be moving in a direction that you have carefully chosen or you will be moving in a direction imposed upon you by others, well intentioned perhaps, but still imposed.
To do all of this, of course, requires having or building in the required skill sets. It takes skill to fly an airplane, to build a satisfying relationship with a significant other, to have rapport with your client or colleagues, to influence your children in useful ways, to get and stay healthy, to increase your income. You are capable of doing, creating and achieving anything you want, whether you believe that to be the case or not. Look around you and see who else has done what you are wanting to do. We can model anyone we desire. And modeling is itself a skill, a skill that can be learned. Now, while skill is important, it is not the most important element of creating what you want and wanting what you create.
What Drives Your Behavior?
For instance, your overall belief system, which includes what people call “beliefs” and “values” will drive your behaviors as you build your life. So the question is, what beliefs and values will be useful for you to operate from, considering the life you want to create? All beliefs and values are learned, and you can install any belief you desire and see how useful it is or is not for you. If you do not know how to do this, you can learn how.
Now, we have considered a few things that will make it easy for you to create what you want and to want what you create. I have mentioned friends, family, and loved ones. Why? Because, life was meant to be shared. Life was meant to be lived with others. It is easier and sweeter to create what you want when you are having fun doing so with others who share your values and vision. And when you share in theirs as well. We can all learn from each other, can we not? And then there are the fortunate ones who have consciously decided to build a community that they can contribute to and draw from, a community that will make it so much easier for them to create the life of their dreams.
I hope I have stirred your thinking, as well as your emotions, about what is possible for you in terms of creating what you want. You can settle, of course. Or you can really go for what is worth going for in your life. And you get to decide what is worth going for. Of course you do, because you are the one that will be living with the consequences of your choices. Not to say that you do not affect others, because you do. If you have children, consider them as you let everything we have been talking about sink in. What do you want to teach your children about creating what they want? And remember, they will not be listening to what you say. They will be paying attention to what your behaviors communicate. Now, what was it that you were saying?

Section 107 US Federal Copyright Law and Your Duty as a Writer
Under section 107 of the United States Federal Copyright Law there is a “fair use doctrine” which allows you to cite information from another’s work as long as you provide the source and give credit to that source. This is good to know for an online writer because it gives them the ability to provide references and meaningful information to those who are reading their works.
Unfortunately the Fair Use Doctrine is being pushed to the limit with many online websites, online writers and those who sell PRL articles or Private Right Label content. What these folks have been doing is collecting fragments of others works, putting them into articles and selling them to unknowing writers to put their names on. Or worse chopping up thousands of articles and putting them into databases with search features on a CR ROM for use by authors and writers to enhance their works. I had once heard of an MIT project, which took old quotes from Famous People and I suppose they were in the public domain; things that Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and Winston Churchill had said, which author’s could use.
Others are using this idea to program artificial intelligent robots to be able to interact with people. That makes sense of course now that technology is coming under fire as it clearly crosses the line of copyright laws; or does it as those who are doing this state that they are well within the law?
Some kids at Berkeley came up with Genius Software for MS Word that would do something similar and make the person look real smart. I know also there is a program that writers can buy that has little tidbits of history to make them look smart. I would hope all these would be legitimate, but I can see how a “Lazy” software programmer would simply lift sentences from News articles and use them.
Although I can tell you that a lot of reporters use these to make their stories fast too. Which makes me wonder if it is copyrighted by the news source, they are copywriting what is already copyrighted over and over again, which inevitably was stolen from someone to make the program or article in the first place. It gets rather bizarre.
The WSJ did an interesting article on the plagiarism and copywrite issues on the net too this week. As a matter of fact it was our number one most viewed topic at our online think tank forum recently. Personally, as hobbyist writer myself; I would never use these things, but for someone just starting out as a writer and to help them fill up their articles with better looking substance I can see the enticement, although if you do not know who you are getting it from you could be putting your own hand into the copyright meat grinder too.
You know this is really a bummer indeed, it is sad to see this go on. Really it takes away from those who really work hard to make their work meaningful and spend time considering how they bring across their message and really put forth the creativity to make their point or tell of important information. It is too bad this occurs. I understand why it is happening, but feel bad in the same way that many writers who have had their work stolen do about the whole thing. So consider this in 2006.

Local Knowledge: Background and Historical Setting in Novels
You’re writing a story set in your local city, but one hundred years in the past. How can you recreate the feel of the past in your words of the present? Local knowledge, that’s how. And how do you get this sort of knowledge when your characters were walking around one hundred years ago and you’re situated well and truly in the 21st century? Exploration on foot, a reliable camera and a willingness to stand on a street corner and imagine everything and everybody as it was in the past.
A good place to start, whether the city or town of your story is close by or not, is internet research. Major cities and many less major towns have their own tourist and business websites, visitor information sites, museum and exhibition listings, historical society and genealogy sites, and maps galore. Look closely for any sites that offer free tourist booklets. As well as the usual restaurant and accommodation guides, maps and business listings, most tourist booklets will also include photographs and brief histories of the area.
Next go to your local library or bookstore, and find travel guides to the location you’re interested in. These travel guides will provide a well-rounded and “larger picture” of your area, and include customs, history, current information and maps. Other books that will be a boon to your research are historical novels and non-fiction works that are set in similar settings to your own. Non-fiction books have the added resource of the bibliography. Author talks are an extra benefit, especially question time. Have your questions prepared beforehand and listen to the questions and answers for other audience members.
If you live close to your setting or can travel there easily, the rest is as simple as driving off in your car or jumping on a train. Book yourself into a guided tourist walk. Put on your most comfortable walking shoes, grab your camera and a notebook, and off you go. From pub tours to historic house tours, there’s a walk that will suit your historical needs. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Relate them to your characters and storyline, and not only will you get pertinent, accurate information, but you may also be inspired with extra plots and new story ideas.
Visit the local museum for that area, obtain a listing of historic houses, find the local public art [often historical in inspiration], trek through transport museums and art galleries, attend cultural events and participate in writers’ festivals.
Factually, the accuracy of your novel should be vastly improved. Don’t forget to take plenty of photos and notes, and collect fliers, booklets and maps at every opportunity. These are all resources that you can refer to in the future. Good research shows through in every paragraph.
The next step is to walk the streets of your novel setting on your own, if it’s safe, or with a friend if you prefer. You should already know where the most appropriate sites are, going back for a second or third look will cement details in your head. Touch the walls, wander through gardens and smell the flowers, listen to the traffic and imagine how it must have sounded in the time period of your story. Your characters will be able to walk the streets and see the buildings for themselves. More importantly, your readers will be able to connect and relate to the realism you’ve brought to the pages.

What Is off Set Printing?
Offset printing is the most popular kind of printing used these days. The off-set printing is so common that nearly 40% of the publication jobs are done by the usage of off-set printing. The presence of off-set publication is nearly felt in every industry. It is used in different fields like education where it is used for publication books, journals and the different types of reading material. Its usage is not limited to the field of publication of books but it is also used in the publication of the outer covers of many goods. This off-set publication technique is the one technique that has led to the possibility of one of the most essential thing which is used in our every day life i.e.; flyers.
WORKING OF OFFSET PRINTING
The working of off-set printing is quite simple. It has three cylinders which transfer the ikon on to the substrate. The first cylinder is mounted on to the plate. The ikon is placed or written on the right lateral up. The first cylinder is placed with the ink and then the ikon is shifted on to the second cylinder. The second cylinder has a foam blanket. As the ikon which was placed in right lateral position when transferred to the second cylinder is placed in the turned position. After the ikon is being transferred from the second cylinder’s blanket to the third cylinder or the stratum cylinder, this stratum cylinder is placed below the third cylinder and this cylinder is popularly known as impression cylinder. Thus the ikon is erst again turned to the right position. One unique characteristic in the off-set printing is that the ikon and non- ikon areas are on the same level. The method makes the usage of fact that there should not be mixing of oil and water usage on the same surface level. This technique has been adopted from lithography; thus off-set printing is also referred to as litho – off-set printing.
There are two main kind of off-set press:
Sheet supported off-set Printing Press: In printing supported off-set printing, single sheets of essay are fed into the press one by one.
Web supported off-set printing press: In this method the printing is carried on one single sheet of the essay which is available in the form of large rolls. Thus the difference between the two methods is the variation in the form of paper.
As far as the benefits of off-set publication are concerned, they crapper be easily understood by the scope of its presence.
Columbus Parents Should Feel Relieved at Congress Passing Recent Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Legislation
Many residents of Columbus, OH remember October 27, 2000 as a very scary day. It was on this day that Josh Miller, a 15-year old student of neighboring Barberton High School, suddenly and tragically lost his life. During the final football game of the season, Miller suffered a sudden and lethal cardiac arrest and by the time help arrived with an automated external defibrillator (AED) it was too late – Josh Miller was dead.
This loss of such a young life caused an uproar in the subsequent months among parents of students at Barberton and surrounding schools. Their argument was that if the school had been equipped with its own AED, a medical device that recognizes and treats lethal heart rhythms such as cardiac arrest, then Miller would still be alive today. Moreover, the continued lack of an automated external defibrillator only served to heighten the parents’ anxiety over their own children’s safety. If a similar instance was to happen again, would their child have time to get to an AED and be saved? Or would it be too late one again?
Fortunately, on June 9, 2008, Congress passed the Josh Miller HEARTS (Helping Everyone Access Responsive Treatment in Schools) Act. This act establishes a grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education that will supply schools with AEDs and appropriate AED and CPR training for staff. Modeled after a similar Ohio program formed shortly after Miller’s death, this legislation enacts the same principle but on a much larger national scale. By court mandating that AEDs be readily available and properly operated on school premises across the United States, one can only hope to see a decrease in mortality rates from sudden heart complications and an increase in saved lives. The passing of this bill should leave parents in Ohio, as well as those across the nation, with lessened worry regarding their children’s safety while at school or on the athletic field and hopefully prevent another innocent life lost.
Roofline and UPVC Profiles Specialists – a Grren Guife to uPVC
What affect will it have on my business?
The Green Guide A ratings for PVC-u windows should mean even more
architects and developers will choose PVC-u window frame materials, for
both their residential properties that have to achieve CSH as well as
non-residential properties that have to achieve BREEAM targets.
As increasing number of buildings are tested by these environmental
assessment methods, the Green Guide will become an essential tool for
specifiers, developers and clients.
Why did BRE award an A rating to PVC-u?
For a long time, PVC-u has been highly regarded for its durability and
low maintenance. When used in windows and doors, PVC-u is one of the
most rigid polymers at normal ambient temperatures and shows little
deterioration after many years of service. However, BRE awarded an A
rating to PVC-u principally because of the materials full life cycle
performance as demonstrated by life cycle assessment information
provided by industry on product manufacture and service life.
How is PVC-u recycled?
One of the characteristics of PVC-u is that it is possible to recycle on
a large scale. It can be ground into pellets which can then be re-heated
and moulded into new products up to seven times. There are now
products on the market that are made from 100 per cent recycled PVC-u
and the Eurocell cavity closer is an excellent example of this.
What about the future?
The PVC-u industry continues to invest large amounts of resource into
improving recycling activities. For many, the start point is always
going to be the waste material generated during the manufacturing
process. There is also much development work going into the recycling of
the frames when they are replaced on site.
Eurocell Profiles Ltd is one of the UKs leading suppliers of PVC-u
window, door, conservatory and roofline systems. From its base in Derbyshire,
Eurocell supplies a national network of fabricators with a uniquely comprehensive
range of upvc profiles including

Gestational Diabetes and Its Influence on Development of Fetus
When a woman is diagnosed to have gestational diabetes her health and the health of her future baby is in danger. Gestational diabetes is a sort of a disease that doesn’t have any obvious and easily noticeable symptoms, but it may have a certain influence on the development of fetus.
Development of the disease causes increase of blood sugar level. And it refers not only to women, but to their babies as well. The fetus becomes exposed to higher glucose level too.
The thing is that glucose travels across placenta. And if its level is too high it can increase the level of glucose for the baby. When the fetus ‘feels’ such danger, its pancreas starts producing more insulin as a sort of defense. This in its turn works as a growth-stimulating factor, and a baby becomes too big for the gestational age that can cause delivery complications. Moreover after the birth, when the baby is not in the high glucose environment any more, it can get hypoglycemia (i.e. too high insulin level and too low glucose level in blood).
So, it becomes pretty obvious that gestational diabetes mellitus has a negative influence not just at the development of fetus, but at baby’s health after birth.

Keeping Your Mind Tuned for Success
Absolutely no one can underestimate the power of the mind and its role in our success! It is imperative to keep our minds right and on the right track if we are to achieve balanced success in our career, finances, health, emotions, relationships and spiritual lives.
The analogy I would like to use here is one of a radio station. For example, there may be a “Success” station. But the only way you can hear a radio station is to be tuned into it. Even a little off and you can’t get the full effect.
The same is true with our mind and success. If our minds and our thoughts get sidetracked, our success will get sidetracked. As our minds stay tuned to “success” our bodies will then carry out our success and we will begin to experience abundance!
So here are some ways to keep tuned into success!
Use your innate ability to decide and choose. One of the things that separates us from the animals is that we live not by instinct, but by choice. Constantly flexing that muscle of choice builds it up and keeps us on track for success. It is like working out. They more we do, the stronger we get. The more “fit” we get. Want to keep your mind tuned for success? Keep it healthy by making good choices and decisions on a regular basis. For example, do you have a bad habit? Then flex your mind muscle and choose to change – today. If you choose to stay the same way (and those are the only two alternatives) you will have just chosen to tune your mind to a different station than “success.”
Put good stuff into your brain. There are lots of things that want to work their way into our minds (and eventually work themselves out again in our actions). There will be lots that we just get from walking around all day. But what about what we put in on purpose? We can choose to put good stuff in on a regular basis. Do you take time each day to put good things into your mind, to tune into success? Here are two things to consider when you are choosing what to put into your mind: First, is it positive? Will it build you up or tear you down? Will it make you a better person, or lesser? Will you grow from it or not? Will it tune you to success or not? Secondly, Will it move you toward your goals in the areas of your life that you want to see success and abundance in?
Keep the junk out. Like I mentioned above, there will always be junk floating around, like a fellow employee who gripes all the time. But what surprises me is how many people who want success, actually willfully choose to put junk into their minds and then expect to be tuned into success. Here are some thoughts on this: First, evaluate everything that you put into your mind. Evaluate what you read, listen to and watch. We live in a fast-paced world and we have little time. Why then would we spend our precious time putting junk into our minds? Does what you read, listen to and watch move you toward your goals or away from them? It is a simple question, really. At least most of the time. And here is my soapbox. Eleven years ago, my wife suggested we give away our television. I was shocked to say the least, but decided to give it a try. Now I am the anti-tv fanatic in our house! I have more time than anyone I know and I don’t have to spend a lot of energy filtering my mind to tune it to success. Just a thought. Just a thought.
Eat right and exercise. That’s right. The way we eat and the amount of exercise we get goes a long way toward our mind’s ability to tune into success. Put the right foods into your body and the brain responds. Exercise on a regular basis and the body releases chemicals that literally ignite your brain for success!
Hope these thoughts help you to get going and keep your mind tuned into success. Put them into practice and soon you’ll be dialed into success and abundance.
